  1. Citizens Police Academy

    June 5, 2017 - July 17, 2017 @ Washington Twp. Police Department

    Washington Township resident 18 years of age or older interested in joining the Citizen Police Academy should contact the Washington Twp. Parks and recreation for an application. The Citizen’s Police Academy will be 7 weeks from June 5, 2017 to July 17, 2017. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm at various locations with optional physical fitness and military drill components. The course will include an overview of police operations, daily activities, Detective Bureau, crime scene processing, academy training, physical fitness, K-9, bicycle patrols, emergency vehicle operations, SWAT, specialized units, CPR training, Fire Department, EMS services and much more.

  2. Fishing with a Cop

    This program provides a great opportunity to get kids involved in positive recreational activities with our police officers. Likewise, the goal of this program is to introduce youth to the fun and excitement of fishing, and to engage them in meaningful life skills, so that they also can imagine unlimited possibilities for themselves. This mentoring program is designed to the youth of our town to interact with law enforcement in a positive manner while learning an enjoyable outdoor activity.
